| Started as part of our PALS program, the goal of the Res-A-Wreck Automotive Ministry is to provide low or no-cost automotive repairs to our neighbors in need. Having been blessed with skilled volunteers, donated parts and money, we have saved our Christian friends hundreds of dollars in repairs. Example: transmission flush, oil/filter, rotate tires, rear bearing seal, adjust brakes, new air filter, and fix a door for $25 (a savings of at least $300!) At times, we have even been able to place them in a "Res-A-Wreck-ted" vehicle at little cost.
Obtaining parts at cost, fluids for free, donated or low-cost vehicles, and donated labor has enabled us to save members
and non-members $10,930 since starting the
ministry. At
present, volunteers get together once a month for a "work"
date and enjoy helping others while having great fellowship.
Our biggest need is for donated cars and funds. There are many in need of assistance, and these items would allow us to help even more deserving individuals and families.
