Celebrate the World is a gathering that is designed to connect ALL of us as neighbors. It will take place on September 10th, 2023 between 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Combined Locks, WI.
Celebrate the World came about as a result of the Congregations Lead Initiative of the ELCA and their work with congregations in hoping to develop innovative ways to spread the love and grace of the Gospel through learning about the Design Thinking process.
People who attend this event will have opportunities to learn about other countries of the world through booths organized by both international students from Fox Valley Technical College and by members and friends of Christ the King.
We invite you to come and: Visit booths from across the world to learn about other cultures. Try some of the foods that are part of those places. Get a passport that you can complete as you tour the countries represented. Register to win a door prize that has an international flair. Come to meet new friends and reconnect with others. Invite your friends, neighbors and family!
We see this event as a way to: share our church family’s culture of acceptance, safety and love; celebrate the diverse cultures of this world that God has given us, and provide a fun, lighthearted way to get to know each other and engage in conversation!!
